Job summary

Marana Unified District is seeking a dedicated paraeducator to support students with disabilities, assisting with IEP-related services to help them reach their highest potential in the classroom.

The role involves tutoring, assisting daily activities, and may include limited administrative duties. CPR/First Aid certification, driver license, and fingerprint clearance are required; position is 9 months, 35 hours per week on site in Tucson.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification is required (online training not accepted).
• AZ Driver's License and Finger Print Clearance are required.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and supportive environment enabling students with special needs to access education.
• Accompany and assist students throughout the school day per IEP.
• Provide tutoring/remediation 1:1 or small groups under a certified teacher.
• Transcribe instructional materials into Braille as needed.
• Assist with self-care activities and some medical tasks under licensed professionals.
