Job summary

The School Aide position at Amergis supports students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education team. The role may also assist with personal, mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent; current CPR if applicable; health certificate; TB/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable; and the ability to meet all federal, state and local requirements; must be 18+.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Work with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a health professional.
