The Sac and Fox Tribe of Iowa is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our education team. The role involves delivering individualized and group instruction, developing IEPs for each student, and maintaining progress records.

You will work to create a positive learning environment and ensure inclusive practices across the school, with regular parent conferences and collaboration with staff. Strong collaboration skills, flexibility, and the ability to participate in IEP meetings and staff

Formación

• Iowa licensure in Special Education is required.
• Stat II endorsement is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administration and other staff.
• Willingness to attend training sessions related to job responsibilities.
• Attendance at parent/teacher conferences as appropriate.
• Experience in team decision making.

Responsabilidades

• Teach using individualized and group instruction to meet curricular objectives.
• Prepare and maintain IEPs for each student and serve daily or as required by IEP.
• Foster a positive school climate and support inclusive practices.
• Consider individual student needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Evaluate student progress and plan instructional methods.
• Maintain records for each student and communicate progress to parents.
• Encourage student motivation and participation in learning.
• Conduct IEP meetings and plan classroom instruction with staff.
• Plan for classroom instruction and accommodations with teaching staff.
• Create and assist with extracurricular activities.

Conocimientos

Ability to work effectively with staff

Experience in team decision making

Educación

Iowa teacher's license with endorsement in Special Education

Stat II endorsement (preferred)
