Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) seeks a Special Education SOAR Paraeducator (S10Q) to assist in developing and implementing programs that support students with significant social-emotional and behavioral challenges under supervision of a teacher. Responsibilities include facilitating learning experiences, supporting IEP goals, and collaborating with the team and ERMHS staff.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher required.
• Minimum 48 college units; high school diploma acceptable with CBEST or instructional aide exam.
• One year of successful experience working with students with social-emotional/behavioral needs.
• Ability to support teacher-led instruction and classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teacher and specialists in providing academic and social instruction.
• Support students in developing self-help and social skills to return to general education.
• Collect data on behaviors and support IEP goals as directed.
• Participate in required meetings and effectively communicate with the team.
