Job summary

SFUSD is seeking a Special Education SOAR Paraeducator to support students with diverse needs at multiple San Francisco sites. Duties include implementing positive behavioral supports, reinforcing instructional activities, and collaborating with teachers and ERMHS staff.

Part-time, school-term calendar, with a salary in the stated hourly range. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or 48 college units (or equivalent CBEST pathway).

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher OR 48 college units required
• CBEST or instructional aide exam with high school diploma options accepted

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based and positive behavioral supports for students with social-emotional and behavioral needs in school
• Reinforcement of positive behaviors
• Observe and control group activities and behavior of students
• Escort students to various locations on school campus
• Assist in administering, correcting and recording student tests, essays, and assignments as directed
