Job summary

SFUSD is seeking a Special Education SOAR Paraeducator to support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs under supervision of teachers and administrators. The role emphasizes implementing evidence-based behavioral supports, data collection, and collaboration with instructional staff to help students access learning and improve outcomes.

The position offers a permanent appointment with a base hourly salary of $34.25 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher required or 48 college units with high school diploma, CBEST acceptable.
• One year of successful experience working with students with social-emotional/behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teachers and specialists in providing academic and social instruction.
• Implement behavior supports and data collection per IEPs and BIPs.
• Support students in developing self-help and advocacy skills for transition to general education.
