Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking an Exceptional Education Shadow for Brockington Elementary Magnet School for the 2026-2027 school year. This 183-day position supports the teacher and students with special needs in a general education setting, following IEP goals and safety procedures.

The role requires assisting with instruction, behavior monitoring, data collection, and collaboration with staff. A base salary of $20,159 is offered, based on education and experience, with standard school-year benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 60 academic credit hours from an accredited college or university.
• Or an associate degree (or higher).
• Or a high school diploma or equivalent with Ready to Work credentials.
• WIN Assessment Silver: Level 4 or higher.
• Work Keys: Applied Math 4, Reading for Information 4, Writing 4.
• ParaPro: passing score 456.

Responsibilities

• Acts as mandated reporter to ensure student safety.
• Adapt activities and materials to support IEP goals under supervision.
• Administer tests and assignments to support student needs.
• Assist students with personal care needs as required.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations for job functions.
• Communicate progress with supervising staff and health professionals.
• Escort students for safe arrival and departure.
• Implement interventions to reinforce learning concepts.
• Intervene in conflicts to diffuse disruptions.
• Monitor daily schedule and behavior plan for safety.
• Provide instruction to reinforce instructional objectives and IEP plans.
• Supervise students in various settings for safety.
• Escort during emergency drills or emergencies for safety.
• Collect data on IEP goals for records and data-driven decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
