Starting salary is $20,159 base, based on education and experience. Availability: 2026-2027 school year; negative TB test required before starting. This role emphasizes teamwork, compliance with IEP goals, and data-driven instruction.

Qualifications

• 60 academic credit hours from an accredited college or university.
• An associate degree or higher is acceptable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with WIN/Work Keys/ParaPro credentials.
• WIN Assessment Silver Level 4 or higher is preferred.
• Work Keys scores: Applied Mathematics 4, Reading for Information 4, Writing 4.
• ParaPro passing score (minimum 456) per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with supervision, care and instruction of students with special needs.
• Support implementation of IEP goals and instructional plans.
• Monitor student behavior and provide data for decision making.
• Assist with transitions, daily activities and safety during school day.
• Attend meetings and communicate progress with instructional staff.
• Escort students during drills and field trips as required.
• Perform other duties to support classroom operations.
