Job summary

Entz Elementary School is seeking a part-time Special Education Resource teacher to translate district standards into meaningful learning experiences. The teacher will create and manage an inclusive program addressing intellectual and emotional needs of all students, with emphasis on IEP goals and collaborative planning with families and staff.

The position requires Arizona teaching certification, IEP knowledge, and the ability to foster a positive, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IEPs and how to implement them effectively.
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents and school personnel at all levels.
• Ability to develop and maintain cooperative professional relationships with teachers, administrators and parents.
• Expertise in behavior management and creating a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter, instructional skills and resources.
• Uses diverse instructional techniques and materials.
• Plans lessons aligned to IEP goals and objectives.
• Uses district textbooks and guides in planning and delivery.
• Incorporates higher level thinking and real-life applications.
• Maintains student records on achievement, attendance and discipline.
