Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with a Boulder County school district in Colorado to hire a dedicated Elementary Special Education Resource Teacher. This short-term contract runs 10/5/2026–11/30/2026, with a 37.5 hour work week (35 paid hours and 2.5 unpaid lunches).

Qualifications

• Must have Colorado Department of Education teaching license (or be actively in the process of obtaining one).
• Strong understanding of special education, IEPs, accommodations, and differentiated instruction.
• One year of classroom teaching experience preferred (as stated).

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and individualized specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Support middle school students in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instructional strategies.
• Monitor progress and document IEP goals and services.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and participate in IEP meetings.
