Job summary

Boulder Valley School District is seeking a licensed Special Education teacher to support both elementary and secondary students in Eldorado K-8 and Columbine ES. The role involves designing and delivering instruction aligned to individual IEPs, collaborating with general education staff and families, and ensuring compliance with MTSS and restorative practices.

The position offers 1.0 FTE across two schools, with a 186-day schedule and a Limited Term through 5/24/27, starting October 5, 2026.

Qualifications

• Colorado teaching license or in process with endorsement as Special Education Generalist or equivalent
• READ Act designation required for literacy instruction
• BVSD online application must be submitted

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and intervention in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning.
• Implement IEP services and behavior plans.
• Manage paraprofessionals/volunteers supporting IEP implementation.
• Develop and monitor IEPs for each student on caseload and coordinate meetings.
• Complete progress monitoring and coordinate progress reports for students on caseload.
• Collect and analyze data to guide eligibility and IEP development.
