Contract: 10/5/2026 – 11/30/2026

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Special Education Resource Teacher to support middle school students in Boulder County. The Resource Teacher will provide targeted, specialized instruction to students with disabilities while collaborating with general education teachers and school staff to support students’ academic and social success.

Responsibilities:

• Provide small-group and individualized specialized instruction based on students’ IEP goals and learning needs.
• Support students in academic areas such as reading, writing, math, and executive functioning.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instructional strategies.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation related to IEP goals and services.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in the general education setting.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student plans.
• Build positive relationships with students and maintain a structured, supportive learning environment.
• Adapt instruction to meet a variety of learning needs and abilities.
• Collaborate effectively with school staff and other members of the student support team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience.
• Must have a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license or be actively in the process of obtaining one.
• Strong understanding of special education, IEPs, accommodations, and differentiated instruction.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Must be a flexible, collaborative, and dependable team player.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Licensing Requirement

Candidates must have or be in the process of obtaining the required CDE license. TEE sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must submit a copy of their CDE license or COOL status along with their resume for consideration.
