Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for a high school in San Lorenzo, CA, starting September 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires an active CA SPED credential and involves developing IEPs and providing specialized instruction in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning.

You will teach 4 periods and reserve 2 periods for prep and case management, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to support

Qualifications

• Valid California Department of Education SPED Generalist license.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of classroom experience.
• Flexible team player.

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Provide specialized instruction in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning.
• Deliver research-based interventions based on individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate annual, initial, and reevaluation IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
• Collect and analyze assessment data to guide instruction and eligibility decisions.
• Foster a safe, equitable, and supportive learning environment.

Position Details

High School Caseload: 26-28 Full-Time, 1.0 FTE Starting September 2026 for the entire school year Active SPED credential required

What We're Looking For
