Zusammenfassung

Murfreesboro City Schools is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher to provide instructional and consultative services to students with disabilities. The role requires active collaboration with IEP teams, general education staff, and families to ensure appropriate services and placements.

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Special Education, you will develop IEPs, plan lessons, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a positive learning

Qualifikationen

• Must hold a valid Tennessee teacher's license with endorsement in #460, #461, or #105.
• Must have successful training and/or experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with students, staff, families.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to IEPs and services.

Aufgaben

• Provide instructional and consultative services to eligible students with disabilities per IEP.
• Attend IEP-Team meetings to assist in eligibility determinations and placement decisions.
• Consult with general education teachers on accommodations and strategies.
• Conduct required assessments in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Develop and maintain IEPs and required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Plan curriculum and prepare lessons considering individual student needs.
• Maintain an orderly classroom and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Maintain professional endorsements, licensure, and ongoing development.
