Job summary

Norman Public Schools seeks a Class Size Teacher's Assistant at McKinley Elementary. This 175-day paraprofessional position supports instruction, supervises students, and prepares teaching materials under the teacher's guidance.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, with an associate degree or two years of college, or pass PARAPRO/OGET. Prior experience with children is preferred and a Tier 1 certification is required before employment.

Qualifications

• Prior work/volunteer experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction for individuals or groups as assigned by the teacher.
• Supervise students in instructional settings, recess, lunch, and other activities.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete required paperwork and records.
• Assist teachers with behavior management and student needs.
