Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or two years of college preferred.
• Pass PARAPRO or OGET if not holding an advanced degree.
• OSBI background check required every five years; employee bears cost.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and activities for individuals or groups as assigned by the teacher.
• Supervise students in instructional settings, recess, and non-instructional times.
• Prepare, create, or adapt instructional materials and teaching aids.
• Grade student work, take attendance, and maintain student records.
• Assist with classroom housekeeping and prepare snacks as needed.
• Support teachers with behavior management and student needs.
