Qualifications

• Must meet Tier 1 Paraprofessional Requirements (two years of college coursework or an associate's degree or passing tests).
• Oklahoma Special Education Paraprofessional Certification within 120 days or willingness to obtain Tier 2 certification.
• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and activities for individuals or groups as directed by the teacher.
• Supervise students in instructional and non-instructional settings and during transportation.
• Support substitute teachers and manage classroom materials and equipment.
• Monitor student behavior and alert the teacher to special needs or safety concerns.
