Job summary

MSD of Warren Township is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Special Education/Resource to support teachers and students. The role involves assisting with instructional activities, supervising students, and contributing to the development of learning materials.

Under supervision, you will help mobilize learning, monitor student safety, and implement behavior plans while maintaining accurate records and preparing instructional resources as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; an associate degree or 60 college hours preferred (transcripts required).
• Previous vocational training or work experience with school-age children with special needs preferred.
• Must meet paraprofessional requirements (ParaPro) and clear background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and learning support to students under supervision.
• Assist in supervising students and maintaining safety in classroom and hallways.
• Document records of learning activities and student progress.
