Job summary

Special School District seeks a Special Education Coordinator to lead district-wide special education teams, ensuring compliant, student-centered services. You will guide programming, support staff, and collaborate with building leaders to foster inclusive, collaborative learning environments.

The role involves daily operations oversight, staff supervision, and budget management, with travel to SSD sites and the Learning Center. This is a full-time, on-site position within St. Louis County, MO.

Qualifications

Master's degree in special education or school administration required.
Minimum of 3 years of special education teaching or related services experience required.
Certification or licensure in Missouri DESE for Special Education Administrator is required or eligible.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations across assigned districts.
Supervise special education staff and manage budgets.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.
Collaborate with principals and district leaders to identify needs and implement improvements.
Travel within the district to SSD venues as needed.
