Job summary

Special School District Saint Louis County is seeking a Special Education Coordinator (District-wide) to guide programming, supervise staff, and ensure compliant, student-centered services across partner districts in St. Louis County.

The role emphasizes inclusive learning environments and strong collaboration with school leaders. The Coordinator will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and align with federal and state requirements, shaping programs to improve student outcomes and equity

Qualifications

Master’s degree in special education or school administration is required.
Minimum of 3 years of special education teaching or related services experience required.
Missouri DESE Special Education Administrator Certification required.
Missouri DESE SPED teacher or related services certification/licensure required.
Applicants eligible for Temporary Authorization Certification (TAC) in SPED Admin K-12 may apply.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of special education services across districts.
Supervise special education staff and coordinate program implementation.
Manage budgets and ensure alignment with federal/state/District requirements.
Partner with principals and district leaders to identify needs and drive improvements.
Support inclusive, student-centered services and ensure high-quality outcomes.
