Job Description
Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district. The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner:
- Assist students with a patient and friendly attitude and provide general support in a non-judgmental, non-reactive manner.
- Assist instructional personnel with the development and presentation of a variety of instructional materials and instructional exercises.
- Assist students in a group or on an individual basis with specific instructional tasks and/or specific student goals for the purpose of accommodating their development and growth.
- Assist with data collection and assessments for student IEP goals and behavior support services.
Details for this Position
- Length of Work Year: Student Year Employee Calendar
- Work Site: Various Sites (La Paloma Elementary, Live Oak Elementary, Maie Ellis Elementary, Potter Jr. High, Mary Fay Pendleton)
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3.92 hours/day, 5 days/week (work hours will vary)
- Benefits: Benefit package includes paid sick leave, vacation, and holidays (currently observing 14 paid holidays a year).
- Requirements for Applying: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade; and either an Associate’s Degree of Arts (AA) or have completed 48 college/university semester units or pass the FUESD proficiency test for this classification; maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification provided by the district.
- Maintain CPR and first aid certification as provided by the district.
- Within the probationary period, paraprofessionals will be expected to participate in district-wide training/supervision and receive a District Certificate of Competence.
- Required Attachments (PDF): Letter of Recommendation – one within the last year (preferably most recent employer); NCLB Compliance – proof of degree/transcripts (if applicable); Resume.
