Kenilworth Public Schools in Harding, NJ seeks a Special Education Pre-School Classroom Aide for a part-time role (8:30-1:30, Mon-Fri) at Harding Elementary School. You will support preschool students with learning and daily activities under supervision of school leadership.

Requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and eligibility to work in the United States. ABA knowledge, RBT certification, and Spanish skills are a plus; residency in NJ is noted in policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.
• Willingness to actively assist special education students in learning activities, personal care, and/or toileting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with appropriate building staff.
• Experience working with students with behavioral/learning needs and/or previous experience working as an aide with behavioral support.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification a plus.
• Bilingual- Spanish speaking ability desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students in learning activities, personal care, and toileting.
• Collaborate with appropriate building staff to support student needs.
• Support students with behavioral/learning needs and provide behavioral support as needed.
