Skiatook Public Schools is accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional for the Secondary level grades 6-12 for the 2026-27 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate Degree or 48 Hours of passing College Credit or have passed the Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET), ParaPro Test or WorkKeys Test. MUST PROVIDE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION.
Employee must be able to walk for 7 hours. Job requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing, reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling. Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds.
Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation.
Employee must possess record keeping skills and hearing and speaking abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with employees, students, and parents.
The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.
CONTRACT: Days school is in session
WORKING HOURS: 7.5 daily
REPORTS TO: Classroom Teacher/Principal
EVALUATED BY: Principal
SUPERVISES: Students
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Skiatook Public Schools offers competitive pay and benefits including paid holidays and health benefits. Starting salary will be based on applicant qualifications and/or work history.
The district also provides on-site daycare for staff members.
Any offer of employment is contingent upon the passing a felony criminal background check and approval by the Board of Education.
Tier 2 paraprofessionals receive a stipend of $500 per year above their base pay.
