Job summary

Cottonwood Elementary is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist teachers in delivering designed instruction to students with disabilities. The role includes supporting daily routines, behavior management, and data collection under supervision.

Under oversight of a licensed teacher, you will help implement IEP-based activities, support individual students in academic and life-skill tasks, and ensure safe classroom operations in a 9-month pay structure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and DMV clearance required.
• Specialized training as needed for IEP implementation.
• Current Crisis Prevention and Restraint Training, First Aid, CPR Training.
• Bloodborne Pathogen and Universal Precautions Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in classroom activities under teacher supervision.
• Support individual and small-group instruction per IEP.
• Help with personal care and daily living skills as needed.
• Assist with data collection and recording student progress.
• Support use of classroom technology and augmentative devices.
