Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Para Certificate or post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience in a K-12 education system preferred.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable per District guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing students' IEPs and support in preparing instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist with and/or perform personal care and hygiene activities as needed.
• Implement behavior management strategies and participate in crisis response training.
• Support the implementation of alternate communication devices as needed.
• Maintain student documentation and Medicaid logs as requested.
• Support bus transportation for students as needed and complete bus rider training.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
• Attend work promptly and maintain confidentiality.
