Willard Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional - Essential Skills for Willard South Elementary. The role supports supervising teachers in promoting student learning and behavior management in a special education setting.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 60 college hours or paraprofessional assessment, CPI certification (or district on-site training), and ability to lift 60 lbs. Background check required; 180-day term; reports to Director of Special Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 60 college hours or paraprofessional assessment.
• Excellent written, oral, organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities; team attitude and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising teachers and building principal to promote learning.
• Support management of individual or small group behavior and learning.
• Provide toileting and eating assistance to students with disabilities as needed.
• Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality per district policy.
• Complete in-service hours per Missouri State Plan for Special Education.
