Job summary

Carroll County Schools in Georgia seeks a paraprofessional at Glanton-Hindsman Elementary School to support instruction, behavior, and personal care for students with disabilities per their IEPs, helping them access the curriculum and classroom activities.

You will collaborate with teachers and therapists, assist with data collection, maintain safety, follow district procedures, and support accommodations and assessments while fostering a respectful learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Georgia paraprofessional requirements: 60 semester hours, an associate degree, or passing score on the paraprofessional assessment.
• Experience working with children, especially those with disabilities, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist instruction through teacher-directed small groups and individualized support.
• Provide accommodations and use assistive technology to aid access to instruction.
• Collect instructional and behavioral data and monitor progress.
• Supervise students to maintain a safe, structured learning environment.
• Support students during assessments with proper accommodations.
