Job summary

Minot Public School District is seeking a paraprofessional to assist students in classrooms under basic supervision, supporting educational programs and teachers to foster positive learning and socialization. Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting with learning tasks and IEPs, preparing materials, maintaining records, and communicating with staff while preserving confidentiality.

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree or HS diploma with Paraprofessional

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree; AND one year of experience working with children; OR High school diploma and Paraprofessional certification from North Dakota Department of Public Instruction; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must pass a thorough background investigation.
• CPI training and certification may be required for some incumbents; CPR and First Aid training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in classrooms with educational programs and tasks; provide assistance to teachers as requested.
• Supervise and monitor students; conduct exercises; work in small groups to meet learning objectives.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials; document issues and reports daily.
