Job summary

Minot Public School District seeks a paraprofessional to assist students in classrooms with educational programs and special assignments. Under basic supervision, you will support teachers, manage small-group activities, and help students develop learning and social skills.

Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, preparing materials, documenting reports, and safeguarding student confidentiality. A relevant degree or ND DPI paraprofessional certification is required, with potential CPI/CPR

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and 1 year of experience with children; OR high school diploma with paraprofessional certification (ND DPI); or equivalent combo.
• Background check required; CPI/CPR endorsements may be required for some incumbents.

Responsibilities

• Assist MPS students in classrooms with educational programs and special assignments.
• Provide individual and small-group support to help achieve learning objectives.
• Supervise and monitor student behavior, encouraging task focus and safety.
• Support teachers with lesson prep, materials, and documentation as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of student progress and incidents.
• Communicate with students and staff to relay pertinent information.
