Job summary

Fulton County Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to support teachers in a classroom or media center at Lake Forest Elementary. The role involves assisting with materials, guiding students in small groups, and helping with daily routines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, pass the GACE para assessment or have 60 sem hours (or 90 quarter hours) with good grades, and obtain the Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate. Experience is valued; training for Dual Immersion may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE para assessment; in lieu of the GACE assessment you may have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a C or better, or hold an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Must be able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing educational materials.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines: distributing/collecting supplies, attendance, grading quizzes.
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall monitoring, and bus duties.
• Assist with preparing and maintaining bulletin boards and other learning centers for instruction.
• Participate in required training related to the Dual Immersion Model if applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator.
