The PRIDE (Practicing and Reaching Individual Dream Everyday) Program serves students at our 401 Education Centerin grades 9-12. PRIDE is an Autism Program (ASD), Emotional/Behavioral Program (EBD), and a Developmental Cognitive/Behavioral Program (DCD).
Description:
Special Education Paraprofessional, 7 hours a day for 183 Contract Days.
Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Qualifications:
• Two years of study at an institution of higher education (60 college credits) OR an Associate degree (or higher) OR the successful completion of the Paraeducator training and assessments (District funded).
• Experience working with students with significant disabilities is preferred, but not required.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) required. Training is offered by the school district.
• Must pass a background check.
• Capable of discretion/confidentiality.
Pay & Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00-$24.00/hr and is based on experience. Competitive and comprehensive benefit package available
