Omaha Public Schools Oak Valley Elementary in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a Part Time Paraprofessional in Special Education starting January 2027 for the second semester. The role supports classroom instruction, data collection, and student progress monitoring under certified staff guidance.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent, with ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong confidentiality. 5.5 hours/day, non-exempt, with competitive pay at $19/hour.

Responsabilidades

• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials or skills initially introduced and outlined by certified staff.
• Observe and record behavior, as well as assist in the utilization of behavior modification techniques designed by the teacher.
• Develop and maintain a professional rapport with classroom teacher and other staff.
• Assist students at arrival and dismissal of school.
• Participate in professional development and in-service trainings.
• Performs assigned supervision of students during lunch periods and recess periods.
• Knowledge of computers with the ability to assist students with educational technology to include software.
