Job summary

Qualifications

• Monitor students during arrival, lunch, recess and dismissal times.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as written in the IEP.
• Record and summarize data as directed by the special education teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Understand individual students’ needs per their IEP.
• Participate in pre and ongoing training programs.

Responsibilities

• Support the needs of special education students and staff as directed.
• Assist substitute teachers and paraprofessionals with daily activities.
• Assist students to achieve IEP goals and objectives.
• Implement behavior and support plans as described in IEPs.
• Assist with toileting and/or diapering as needed.
• Assist with feeding as needed.
