Job summary

Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional Level II to support students with disabilities under the direction of Special Education Teachers. The role focuses on instructional support, supervision, health needs, and data collection within regular classrooms or specialized programs.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP-based interventions, assisting with life skills and behavior plans, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment

Qualifications

• Illinois license (Paraprofessional, Substitute, or Professional Educator License) required.
• College transcripts with 60+ credits or passing WorkKeys assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, health and hygiene needs as directed by Special Education Teachers.
• Assist in implementing plans, interventions, and strategies for instruction and life skills.
• Assist with behavioral plans designed by IEP team to support learning.
• Gather data related to student needs and abilities.
• Assist with toileting, feeding and lifting as needed.
• Monitor students during various school activities to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Utilize behavioral approaches such as ABA or CPI when appropriate to support access to the least restrictive environment.
