Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional - Level I to support students with disabilities under the direction of Special Education Teachers.

Responsibilities include assisting instructional tasks, supporting students in various school settings, and implementing behavioral plans as outlined by IEP teams. The role requires Illinois PARA/SUB/PEL credentials or equivalently approved credentials and 60+ college credits or WorkKeys.

Qualifications

• State of Illinois Licenses (PARA, SUB, PEL) or college credits/WorkKeys as qualifying credentials.
• 60+ college credits or WorkKeys passed are acceptable for eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Assist teachers with instructional tasks in both self-contained and general education settings.
• Support students with disabilities within classroom and school environments.
• Assist with communication, scheduling, problem solving, and curriculum modifications.
• Assist students needing toileting assistance when required.
• Adapt activities and materials to reinforce learning objectives.
• Implement behavioral plans designed by IEP teams.
