Job summary

Downingtown Area School District seeks Special Education Paraprofessionals - Level 1 to support students across district locations in Downingtown, PA. Pay rate is $16.88 per hour, with schedules varying by building and up to 35 hours per week across 180 school days per year.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and either an associate degree/48 college credits or PA Credential of Competency within the first year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Possess an associate's degree or 48 college credits or PA Credential of Competency Certification within first year.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong organizational and tech skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Background checks and clearances as per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Attains and maintains CPR/First Aid certification.
• Provides individual and/or small group support per IEP.
• Assists in developing instructional materials and adaptive strategies with technology.
• Maintains confidentiality of student records.
• Supports inclusion and independence within school and community.
