Job summary

Fort Zumwalt School District's North Middle School in O'Fallon, Missouri is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities and help them reach IEP goals.

Under the direction of the principal, duties include assisting teachers, monitoring students, providing behavioral support, and helping with daily living tasks. Employment is full-time in practice for nine months, with a salary of $15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred; substitute cert preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities or behavioral needs preferred.
• Flexibility, reliability, and commitment to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education or general education teacher in instruction.
• Support students with disabilities under administrator and IEP guidance.
• Monitor and assist students in classrooms to complete tasks and apply accommodations.
• Assist with daily living tasks and behavioral support as needed.
• Help with assistive technology and data collection for IEP goals.
• Lead small group activities under teacher direction.
• Escort students between classes and maintain records.
