Job summary

Fort Zumwalt R-2 School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with special needs under a teacher’s supervision. A high school diploma is required, with preference for candidates who have 60 college hours and can obtain a substitute teacher certification.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher with instruction in the classroom.
• Monitor classroom during IEP meetings and staffings.
• Assist with grading papers and phone calls.
• Assist with the physical care of students as needed.
• Assist in lunchroom and recess duties and other tasks as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with administrators and staff.
