Job summary

YOSS, Inc. seeks a Paraprofessional to support instructional programs at DCES-DOVE CREEK ELEMENTARY. This 185‑day, non-contracted role focuses on supervision, care and instruction for students, including those with special needs, within regular or special education classrooms.

You will assist with implementing instructional plans, monitor behavior, attend IEP meetings when needed, and help prepare materials while collaborating with the IEP team.

Qualifications

• Two year degree or higher or pass paraprofessional exam.
• Paraprofessional certificate from Georgia PSC or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in licensed child care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to instructional programs for special needs students.
• Assist in supervision, care, and instruction in class settings.
• Attend IEP meetings when necessary and support data collection.
• Assist with mobility, self-care needs, and feeding as required.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of instructional materials.
• Lift and transfer students as needed and perform clerical tasks.
