Job summary

Yuma Elementary School District One is seeking a Paraprofessional - ESS Moderate/Severe to support instructional programs for students with special needs. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, immunization proof for MMR and Hepatitis B, CPR/First Aid certification, and three professional references.

IVP fingerprint clearance is also required. The position is non-benefited with health insurance offered by the district, with a 7-hour workday and a 180‑day calendar.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities under supervising teacher to support objectives.
• Provides first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Assists with tests, homework, and make-up work to support instruction.
• Monitors student behavior and maintains safety in various environments.
• Supports IEP objectives and attends meetings as needed.
• Maintains records of student activities and progress.
