Job summary

The paraprofessional will work closely with teachers, maintain patient and empathetic interactions, and participate in professional learning days as required.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional License or Illinois Professional Educator License (Region 6) required.
• Ability to project empathy and positivity in classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom and school settings to support students.
• Help teachers deliver lessons and manage materials.
• Implement behavior management plans as directed.
• Assist with organizing supplies and student notebooks.
• Assist with student mobility and supervision during transitions.
• Support students with medical or special plans as trained.
• Maintain confidentiality and act professionally.
• Use Chromebooks, Google tools, Seesaw, and other tech as needed.
• Communicate with families as appropriate.
