Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid paraprofessional license issued by the State of Illinois and registered in Region 07 South Cook ISC4.
• Experience assisting students with special education needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals or small groups of students to reinforce material under teacher supervision.
• Help with classroom routines and organization, including transportation of materials and setup for activities.
• Supervise students during transitions and ensure a supportive learning environment.
• Escort students to various locations as needed and support self-care tasks.
• Contribute to integration of special education students into the regular classroom.
