Job summary

Fulton County Schools seeks a Paraprofessional in Special Education to support teachers and students in daily instructional activities at Roswell High. Responsibilities include assisting with materials, small-group instruction, and routine classroom operations within a collaborative school environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, and certification requirements with GACE para or higher education credits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE para assessment; in lieu of the GACE Assessment have 60 sem hours or 90 quarter hours; an Associate's Degree or higher is acceptable.
• Must obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.
• 0–1 year experience required.
• Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children preferred.
• Follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and flexibility.
• If in Dual Immersion program, proficiency in spoken and written language of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Works individually with students and/or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assists with daily routines: distributing and collecting supplies, attendance, grading quizzes as assigned.
• Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
• Participates in required training related to the Dual Immersion Model if applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator.
