Job summary

Fulton County Schools in Johns Creek High is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students and staff in the classroom or media center, assisting with materials, supervision, and routine tasks to reinforce learning objectives.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, and Georgia Paraprofessional certification or eligible for GACE/60 sem hours; duties may include lunchroom and bus duties, and Dual Immersion language support where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass GACE para assessment; in lieu of the GACE assessment and have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of a grade of C or better; hold an Associate's Degree or higher at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher in preparing educational materials.
• Works individually with students and/or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Distributes and collects supplies, keeps attendance records, and grades quizzes as assigned.
• Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining bulletin boards and other learning centers areas for instruction.
• Participates in required additional training related to the Dual Immersion Model if applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator.
