Job summary

Lyon County School District seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional to support licensed teachers at Dayton Elementary. You will assist with instructional activities and implement specially designed instruction for students with disabilities, including data collection, behavior management, personal care, and collaboration with IEP teams.

Reports to the school site administrator; CPR/AED and safety training required; able to work with diverse learners and lift up to 50 pounds; 9-month pay scale

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and DMV clearance.
• Specialized training to meet student needs as outlined in IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned students with activities and personal care.
• Help implement instructional plans and IEP goals.
• Support group instruction and manage classroom behavior.
