Job summary

Aberdeen School District is hiring paraeducators to support teachers and students. Positions are 6 hours per day, 190 days per year, including holidays. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet district requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires basic spelling, math and grammar proficiency.
• English language literacy and classroom communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain student records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student progress and share observations with teachers and guardians.
• Assist teacher with daily management, safety and organization of students.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays as directed.
• Supervise small groups and individuals during classwork and activities.
• Support administration of tests and maintenance of records.
• Provide basic first aid if needed and ensure student safety.
