Job summary

Mounds View Public School District seeks a Special Education and Supervisory Paraeducator to support students with special needs at Island Lake Elementary. The role includes instructional support, supervision, and collaboration with teachers to enhance student outcomes.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6.58 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid break; start date September 8, 2026. Pay is $28.05/hour for Special Education and $23.73/hour for Supervisory, with medical, dental, life, and PTO

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one of: AA/AS/AAS, or 60 sem credits, or 90 quarter credits.
• Passing ParaPro Assessment or Paraeducator Online with required scores.
• Ability to work with staff, students, and community; effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and support students in classrooms and community settings.
• Supervise students during lunch, hallway, and field trips.
• Assist in implementing daily instructional plans and behavior expectations.
• Provide support and input on student progress and goals.
• Duties may include basic clerical tasks and collaboration with teachers.
