Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator for Setting IV. The position runs Monday through Friday, 6.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid break, starting September 8, 2026.

Pay is $28.05 per hour under the paraeducator labor agreement, with medical, dental, life and PTO benefits. Responsibilities include assisting students, monitoring behavior, preparing instructional materials, and collaborating with teachers.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and human relations skills required.
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small groups.
• Ability to work with emotionally, physically and/or mentally impaired students.
• Must read and comprehend written instructions and reports.
• Proficiency with computers and multiple software packages.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and support students in classrooms and community settings.
• Meet with teachers to determine modifications and daily instructional plans.
• Supervise students during lunch, hallways, and field trips for orderly conduct.
• Prepare classroom materials and assist with grading and records.
• Attend staff meetings to discuss student progress with staff and parents.
• Must be able to lift as part of job duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
