Rochester Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with special education services. You will implement IEP elements under certified staff, assist with instructional and health needs, and collect data on progress.

The role requires flexible duties and collaboration with teachers and staff. Responsibilities include supervising students in various settings, assisting with behavior plans, and using iPads for communication.

Qualifications

• 60 college credits or a two-year degree from an accredited college or university; transcripts required.
• Alternative: complete the Paraeducator Assessments with Minnesota passing scores.
• High School diploma or GED required; experience with elementary students preferred.
• Computer skills preferred; flexibility and teamwork encouraged.
• Regular, on-time attendance is required.

Responsabilités

• Assist students with IEP goals under certified staff guidance.
• Provide instructional and health support at the school site.
• Collect data and report progress to teachers and staff.
• Support students with de-escalation and behavior plans as needed.
• Supervise in lunchrooms, playgrounds, and during field trips.
• Maintain confidentiality and build relationships with diverse students.
• Use iPads and devices to support communication for non-verbal students.
• Prepare and follow routines for meals, recess, and transitions.
