Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with special education needs at the school site. The role includes implementing aspects of IEPs under supervision of certified staff and providing instructional and health support as needed.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting progress to teachers, and assisting with de-escalation and behavior management. Position may require in-school and on-demand home visits, with a focus on student safety and

Qualifications

• 60 college semester credits and/or a two-year degree from an accredited college or university.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• In lieu of college credits or degree, one can complete the Paraeducator Assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students with special education needs at the school site under direction of certified staff.
• Collect data and communicate academic/behavior progress.
• Follow student Behavior Intervention Plans and Emergency Healthcare Plans.
